A busy weekend saw debuts, goals galore and cup runs extend.
Our under 7s took to the field for the first time when they visited Peamount United. Phil Keogh managed the side in what was his and their first game in the mini leagues. A fantastic experience for all of the players.
Our under 10s made the long journey out to Newbridge on Saturday morning. Both sides produced some lovely football, with Sean Comiskey O'Keefe and Arman Rahman scoring goals for Aidan Conroys side.
Next up was our under 11s who welcomed AFC Belgrave to the pitches. Brian Doonan and Muzzy Lyons were happy coaches at the end of the match as a fantastic display from the 11s saw them emerge 2 - 1 victors. Abdul opened the scoring before Isaac Johnson secured the win for the 11s.
Matt Elliots under 12s were in cup action on Saturday as they hosted St James Athletic. A goal fest ensued as both teams hit the back of the net multiple times. Charles, Corey, Jack, Zack, Sulaimon and Daniel were the goalscorers for the side as they won an entertaining game.
A short journey down the m50 southbound was a pleasant one for Mick Eustace and his under 13s side as they ran out 6 - 1 winners over Knocklyon United. Andre continued his impressive start with the club with 2 goals while Gjon, Finn, Ryan and Conor bagged a goal each. A harsh scoreline on Knocklyon who battled until the last minute and did create chances of their own, but Garrett had a fantastic game to limit Knocklyon to just one goal.
Tony Kennedys under 14s made the same journey on Sunday and went to the top of the league with a 3 - 1 win. It was 2nd v 3rd and Max Popchenko, Conor O'Mera and Lee Lanny scored the goals to send the blues home with the 3 points.
Our under 17s were beaten away to league leaders Beechwood. In what was always going to be a tough match, Tony Doyles side were beaten.
Finally, our senior side were beaten by Ardmore Rovers away in Ballywaltrim.
