Knockmitten United Code of Conduct

Knockmitten United is a club run by volunteers who strive to provide the best possible pathway for players and coaches to develop and improve. In order for this to happen, the club requires support and cooperation from all members, coaches, players and parents.

Conduct for Coaches

• The primary aim is to improve the ability of the players under his/her guidance.
• Recognize what players need to improve and plan the improvement.
• Show respect to all officials and opponents.
• Ensure all of the players are playing in a safe environment.
• Planned sessions - Know what you need to work on.
• Have the players best interests at heart at all times.
• Seek guidance if needed.
• Treat your players with respect.
• Never exclude anyone.
• Listen to your players.
• Be aware of our child protection guidelines and our officers.
• Ensure bullying is never tolerated.
• Confidential information = Confidential information
• You're a coach, not a drill sergeant

Conduct for Players

• Give 100% each time you attend training and matches
• Encourage your team mates
• Respect your coaches; respect your team mates; respect yourself
• All officials must be treated with respect
• Compete with all opponents
• Listen to your coaches
• Respect your coaches, respect your team mates, respect yourself

Conduct for Parents

• Respect all officials
• Respect all coaches and players, both KUFC and opposition
• Let the coaches do the talking
• Always encourage
• No abusive language
• Don't contradict the coaches instructions
• Let the players play

All coaches, players and parents of Knockmitten United FC must follow our code of conduct. The code allows the players to develop in the best possible manner and also allows the coaches to develop the players. Most significantly, it allows everyone to enjoy the game which is what we at KUFC wish for everyone involved in the blue and white.
