While our youth sides are finished for the winter, our senior sides season continued at the weekend.
On Saturday, Mark Hansard's LSL side were beaten 5 - 3 away to St James/Pegasus. The lads rallied at half time after being 3 - 1 down to level the game but two late goals meant the lads left Dundrum empty handed. The goals on the day were scored by Keith Archibold (x2) and Karl Canning.
On Sunday, Des Connolly's LFL side drew 2 - 2 against Bohemians Supporters Club. Ross O'Sullivan scored a brace in a game which saw two sets of fathers and sons play on the same team, a first for the club.
Des Connolly came on in the second half to play up top beside his son Calvin while Garret Gray jumped in between the sticks to defend the goal along with his sons Jordan and Ryan.
It nearly was a dream day though as a long ball thumped up the pitch was won by Dessie (the smallest player on the pitch) who's header landed just in front of Calvin but the Bohemians keeper was quick off the mark and managed to claim it first.
Dessie's side have the weekend off while Mark Hansards side travel to Balbriggan to take on familiar opponents in Hyde Park
